Lips are one of the sensuous parts in a woman?s body.
Beautiful lips can add to the beauty of the face. Hence it
is essential that you take care of your lips properly.
Statistics reveal that an average woman uses about 6 pounds
of lipstick in her whole lifetime! This reveals how much
care has to be taken for the lips. Unlike other skins lips
do not secrete oil hence it becomes dry sooner than other
skin in the body. It becomes dehydrated sooner than you
think. You might ask ?why can?t we wet our lips by licking
it?. This habit of licking your lips is also not good since
the saliva has digestive enzymes that might damage the
protective layer in the lips. One of the solutions to this
problem is to make use of good quality lipstick that would
keep your lips fuller, beautiful, sexy, and hydrated.
There are many products in the market to beautify your lips.
You have to carefully choose a lipstick that would suit your
lips. A lipstick is not harmful to your health. Products
like lip liner and lipstick can be used to enhance the looks
of your lips and thus improving the beauty of your face. You
have to make sure that the color of the lip liner matches
with that of the lipstick color. If you can?t get a perfect
match the lip liner could be on the darker side of the
lipstick color. Glossy, matte, frost, and creamy lipsticks
are available.
Make sure that the type of lipstick you choose suits your
lip skin. For example a person with thin lips can choose
light colors of lipsticks and a person with thick lips can
choose darker shades. You can also use lip gloss to give
your lips a fuller appearance and a shine to it. Glossy
lipsticks are suitable for young people. Go for the matte
type if you want your lipstick to last longer even for about
8 hours duration. Other ways to make it last longer are to
apply two coats of lipstick or prepare your lips with some
powder and color before you apply the lipstick on them. To
define the shapes of the lips, you can use lip liners which
are available in plenty. You can apply the lip liner outside
the natural line of your lips to make your lips look
thicker. If you want them to appear thin then use the lip
liner inside the natural line of your lips and then apply
the lipstick.

How often you are presented with a surprise from your man in
the form of a flower, a romantic dinner, a sensual dress or
a precious piece of jewelry? Sometimes as a celebration,
sometimes as a gesture of love and sometimes simply to make
up for silly mistakes and broken promises; they are always
in the run to give that special princess like treatment to
their wives or girlfriends. For all the hard work they do to
mellow your heart they deserve a surprise once in a while as
well.
Nothing could be more appropriate than jewelry to match
there love and devotion towards you. Although jewelry is
supposed to be for woman it also relates a lot to man.
However while buying jewelry for man one should take care
that it should not be flashy and should be comfortable to
wear with daily attire.
Bands are a good option to choose while gifting jewelry to
men. At basic level you can choose from available choices of
precious metal such as silver, white gold, yellow gold and
platinum. Apart from plain bands you can choose from various
contemporary designs that play with texture of precious
metal. Some of these are bands with matte finish, bark
finish, diamond cuts, Florentine finish, hammered finish,
high polish finish or satin finish. If your man is into
gemstones you can also look around for the designs that
include diamonds or colored gemstones. Don't go for big
stones, small stones or accents lined around the band or a
small single stone in the center will go good. If you are
buying a textured band make sure that it goes with his skin
tone. For instance textures that reduce luster may not look
nice on dark skin tone.
If a band is something you have already given him as a
promise, engagement or marriage ring then pendant is an
option for you. Again as rings, same rule applies to
pendants. Keep it simple and elegant. Look for modern
designs that play around with simple shapes and geometrical
patterns. You can also go with the option of birthstone
studded pendants. Either gift him with birthstone of his
birth month or pair it with your birthstone to turn it into
couple jewelry. Photo pendants are also sentimental and
touching. In this case opt for rectangular and round designs
as heart would look girly. If he is into religion than cross
pendants are also a good choice to go for.

When it comes to natural stone materials, you may think of
installing them in the kitchen first. But granite bath
vanity tops are just as pleasing to the eye and just as
functional as granite kitchen countertops. If you're in the
middle of a bathroom remodel or building a new home and
searching for the perfect materials, here are few reasons to
add granite countertops to the list.
Beauty + Function:
Beautiful. If you want to add the "wow" factor to your
primary or guest bathroom, granite will do it. As a natural
material, the variations in color and pattern will add life
to any home. Polished granite shimmers as the different
flecks of color sparkle and change with the light only the
way natural stone can. As a natural material that has
centuries of use, you can be sure that granite bath vanity
tops will add elegance to any bathroom.
Durable: You may think all rock is durable but granite is
second in strength only to diamonds. So there is no need to
doubt that granite bath vanity tops will hold up in any
bathroom, even a main one with frequent use. Granite is
largely scratch and stain resistant. All that's required to
keep it functional and beautiful is some basic cleaning and
yearly (or less) sealing. With a little care, granite can
hold up even to the busiest family bathroom.
Long-lasting: Another factor that makes granite
bathroom-friendly is its resistance to mold and mildew.
Unlike other materials such as laminate, granite is
invulnerable to water damage. And because of its natural
toughness, granite bath vanity tops won't need replacing
every few years the way other countertops do. More than
likely, you'll move before it does. And the ongoing
popularity and time-tested quality of granite ensures it
won't go out of style. Nothing holds an audience quite like
natural stone.
Simple upkeep: Granite does need some TLC but it?s minimal.
Despite popular belief, granite is not as vulnerable to
staining as other products. Wiping it off with some mild
dishwashing liquid mixed with warm water on a regular basis,
and keeping the surface dry will keep it healthy. Sealing it
once every few years will keep it protected. And as long as
drips and spills are wiped up immediately, granite bath
vanity tops should stay looking beautiful with little
effort.
Worth the Investment:
Granite may be an investment but it's one worth making.
Choosing to invest in granite bath vanity tops will pay you
back in the future. For one thing, it won't need replacing
any time soon, if ever. For another thing, adding granite
adds value to your home. Should you decide to sell, having
granite in the house will appeal to most buyers and will
work with almost all style preferences.
So while you're browsing materials for your new bathroom,
seriously consider granite for your home. This beautiful,
durable, long-lasting, and easy-to-clean stone is sure to
work well with your bathroom. Create a timeless look with
granite bath vanity tops.

Diamond is a mineral and is the hardest known substance to
man, but one of the simplest being composed of carbon and
the first recorded history dates back to some 3000 years ago
to India. Throughout history diamonds have been associated
with mystical power, great beauty and more recently great
value and wealth. The word comes from the Greek meaning
'adamas' meaning unconquerable and they have been worn
throughout the ages by men going into battle as a sign of
strength, courage and invincibility.
Most diamonds still originate from central and south Africa
although there have been other significant finds in Canada,
Brazil, Australia and the biggest diamond mine is in
Siberia. The diamond market is very much dominated by De
Beers to control the supply and price of diamonds across the
world by what some would say are monopolistic practices.
Some of the worlds largest and most valuable diamonds are in
the Tower of London in the British Crown Jewels.
Diamonds are indeed very desirable objects and are worn
throughout the world set in precious metals in many
different types of jewellery. One of the most common pieces
of jewellery is still the ladies diamond engagement ring and
many women still choose to have a diamond as a symbol of
love to wear on their engagement finger whether it be the
traditional solitaire or three diamonds which some believe
signifies 'I love you'.
Diamonds have always been associated with romance and legend
and it is said that Cupid's arrows were tipped with diamonds
because they possess a magic that nothing else has equalled.
Diamonds vary enormously in price according to size and
quality so when choosing diamond rings it is important to
consider your budget.
Diamonds are graded according to the 4 c's which refers to
cut, clarity, colour and carat.
The cut of a diamond is very important as it affects the
reflective qualities, which will determine the brilliance of
a diamond and how it looks to the naked eye. Cut should not
be confused with shape such as pear, emerald, round etc.
Clarity refer to the number of flaws known as inclusions in
the stone and the stones which have fewer inclusion are more
highly prized and valuable because they have greater
brilliance. Remember though that a diamond doesn't have to
be flawless to look absolutely stunning.
Diamond colour usually refers to whiteness or colourlessness
in white diamonds with those with least colour being more
valuable because of their ability to pass more light giving
more sparkle and fire. Coloured diamonds do occur naturally
ranging from blue to green but they are rare and very
expensive.
Carat is the unit of weight for measuring the size of
diamonds and in this case it really is a case of size does
matter. The value of a diamond rises exponentially in
relation to its size so the cost of a 4 carat stone for
instance will not be double the cost of a 2 carat stone but
very much more. So it is all down to your budget and not a
measure of how much someone loves another.
Cost is important when buying a diamond ring but you will
find that there is a huge choice out there that will fit
within your budget. Remember that clever design and settings
can make a diamond appear bigger but if you really want a
larger stone on a limited budget you could decide to
purchase a stone which is graded slightly lower in terms of
clarity and colour.

Amsterdam is a major historical location for the diamond
industry. Walking down the streets you will see a lot of
jewelry stores as well as many diamond businesses with
prominent security systems and signs reading "guided diamond
tours".
If you go on these tours you'll see some breathtaking
diamonds, as well a chance to see these stones being cut and
polished. And if you have some cash to spare, purchase one
for $4000 to $400,000.
Amsterdam has an extended history relating to diamonds, and
has been a major diamond center since Sephardic Jews
introduced the diamond cutting industry to Amsterdam in the
later 16th century. Nowadays there are about a dozen diamond
cutting facilities in the city, 5 of which offer guided
tours. The tours are free and are usually conducted 9am to
5pm each day.
Amsterdam has an extended heritage in the diamond business,
and has been a major European diamond center since Sephardic
Jews introduced the diamond cutting industry in the later
16th century. Ultra-Orthodox Jews are still prominent in
worldwide diamond marketing and distribution, and urban
legend has it they hide diamonds in their beards to move
them through customs without being detected. Diamonds are
not necessarily cheaper in Amsterdam; however prices are
fairly competitive. At least you will have seen the stones
being worked, and when you purchase from a factory you get
an extensive description of the diamond you acquire so you
know exactly what you are buying.
The following renowned diamond stores offer diamond-cutting
and polishing tours, and sales of the finished diamonds:
Coster Diamonds
Gassan Diamonds
Stoeltie Diamonds
Van Moppes Diamonds, which was the the 1st company to offer
guided tours.

The best time to visit Holland is spring or fall when the
heat of summer and the droves of tourists have departed and
the leaves on the trees aren't blocking the review of the
monumental facades. The winters are penetratingly cold and
wet with lots of rain and sleet. Because of the high
humidity, it actually feels as cold as the thirty-below
winters common in Canada. Come in spring (March through May)
and catch the Holland Flower Festival at Keukenhof.

Amsterdam hosts the Sail event. Every new edition attracts
even more visitors (Sail 2000 welcomed two and a half

The Van Gogh Museum contains the largest collection of works
by Vincent Van Gogh, the tragic artist who cut off his ear
and committed suicide. You will find more than 200
incredible works from the Master?s hand, as well as 500

historic insight into his life and art.
Amsterdam is a fascinating place with lots of things to see
and do besides diamonds and diamond businesses. After one

Looking back over the past centuries, it is very evident
that jewelry has been a vital part of our society. Beginning
with ancient Greece, jewelry has been worn by men and women
alike. More recently, during the Georgian period from the
early 1700s to the mid 1800s, jewelry designs were
predominantly nature themed with flowers, leaves, insects,
birds and feathers engraved or carved. Gemstones were
favored during this time along with agates, intaglios and
cabochon cut stones.
Later in the 1800s, during the early Victorian Period,
scrollwork, floral sprays and animal themes were the
dominant style.
These styles were intermingled with multi-colored gold and
many pieces of enameled jewelry began during this period.
The late Victorian Period up to 1900 brought diamonds into
popularity. Bird, insect and animal themes were set in metal
and many pieces began implementing the use of spring
mechanisms. Delicate pendants of colored stones and pearls
were also highly popular during this time.
During the time from 1900 until 1950, the styles and designs
of jewelry changed rapidly and substantially. Early in the
1900s jewelry became very delicate and feminine. Bows,
ribbons, urns, starts and small flower garlands were seen
widely during this time. Platinum on yellow gold with
diamond trim or large diamonds with smaller diamonds for
accents became very popular during this era. Art Deco also
became popular during the early 1900s. During this time
diamonds and platinum were used widely without any regard to
their cost. Stones were cut into triangles and other shapes
along with colored gemstones such as rubies, sapphires,
emeralds and onyx to create beautiful and contrasting
combinations.
During World War II much of the gold and silver and all of
the platinum were needed to fund military spending.
During this time the American jewelry market burst into its
own. Colored gold in beautiful yellows, pinks and greens
were developed. Designs were also developed that used three
dimensional and sculptured ribbons, bows and folds that
resembled fabrics. After the war the jewelry became much
less romantic and took on more of a militaristic look.
It was during the 1950s that the use of abstract sprays of
diamonds in mixed cuts and starbursts were first introduced.
Textured gold was also introduced and the look virtually
dominated the 1950s with Florentine finishes, twisted rope,
braided wire and meshing. During this decade it was
customary to wear gold jewelry without gemstones during the
day while diamonds and other stones were worn for evenings.
Amethyst, turquoise and coral were among the most popular
colored gemstones. White cultured pearls were also becoming
highly popular for both day and night wear.
Jumping ahead to the 1970s, jewelry took on a complete new
look. Jewelry designers looked to create a unique and
different approach to jewelry styles. Non-precious metals
such as rock crystal, ivory and coral were being used more
widely. Baguette diamonds were also designed into solitaires
and were worn during both the day and night.
During the 1980s glitz and glamour were a desired look.
While the wedding of Princess Diana to Prince Charles gave
women all over the world the desire for jewelry with a
classy and sophisticated elegance, television shows such as
Dallas had women yearning for a more glamorous approach to
their jewelry. Colored pearls were highly popular and the
overall designs of jewelry ranged from large and chunky to
small and elegant. This is also the decade in which the
pierced ears with up to five different earrings in one ear
began.
Many of these same jewelry styles and trends are evident
today. Typically jewelry never goes out of style. Many
antique pieces from decades past are still highly
fashionable and can be worn today without much notice.
Jewelry has been part of our lives since nearly the dawn of
time and it is highly evident that it will remain so for
many years to come.

As I walked through the Boca Town Center in Boca Raton,
Florida, I noticed a new kiosk which seemed to just light up
the rest of the surrounding area. Was this kiosk selling
watches, or bracelets, I asked my friend? Neither, it was
selling skin care products formulated with real 24k gold.
As we approached the kiosk, I wondered to myself if this was
just a marketing ploy. Yes, the packaging was very nice, and
the gold composition surely would look nice on my sink as
people looked over my stash of skin care products I take
such pride in. But, behind this gold-embossed casing and
fancy packaging, was there a product inside that actually
worked? I was curious to know what the catch was, and if
gold really did work in this formula.
I asked questions to a well-educated employee who explained
to me the details of why gold was chosen to be added to this
anti-aging formula. Apparently, dating back to Cleopatra,
gold has been used in facials across the world. It's used in
high-end spas worldwide, and if you search for it in Google
that statement was verified to be true.
However, the key reason is that gold is a great ingredient
as far as having the proper anti-aging properties. Gold has
been found as a great wrinkle reducing ingredient and said
to have worked well with other ingredients such as
hyaluronic acid and retinol to effectively fight the aging
process and keep the skin looking young.
Gold apparently works to reach a certain level of skin
called the "barrier zone" that other ingredients cannot
reach. I was given a quick education on gold and how it
works levels of he skin that others cannot reach. So, I was
sold. I went ahead and bought an anti-aging set of gold
products that I continue to use today. I have to say they
not only look good, but feel good and work good. They go on
smooth, and absorb well into the skin. The formula does not
leave any gold residue on the face as I thought prior to
purchase. Rather, it absorbs just like any other eye serum
out there.
Gold has certainly held up in value over the years. It's now
a respectable anti-aging product.
